This game consists of three types of events.
Freeform events are player generated events. These are typically minor events that don't cause large story changes on the large scale. Players are given the freedom to make NPCs to add depth to the world and the RP. Players cannot do Canon Cameos or use NPCs to help them, unless its something that the NPC could do according to the NPC store. (An NPC medic could heal you up to 50 HP, but it would cost as if you'd bought it at the NPC store.) Or you could RP buying a Class V Scouter. Little things like that are all NPCs are able to do. The exclusion to this rule is by Admin approval. Ask an Admin to do a Cameo, or if you can NPC one in your thread.
Faction generated story. Once the game progresses, NPC leadership in the armies will fall back, and players will lead these. Have an Idea for a story arc? Write it up on the proper job board. This isn't limited based on your faction. Have a story that involves both sides? Write up an appropriate job pm both boards. These types of events progress small amounts of the story, as well as might give you promotions through the ranks of your faction. Again, Cameos require Admin approval.
Admin generated story. These events mark the fact that the story is moving along and typically involve large battles or major events. Cameos are highly likely and rewards are high. Have an idea for a main event? Let an admin know.
Questions to ask yourself when designing a job:
What factions could involved?
How many people are needed for the job?
What risk is involved? (What rank of job is it)
What equipment might be needed?
What does each faction gain/lose for doing this job?
What kind special reward is awarded for completion? (Typically Gil)
Submit this to an admin to look over, then they'll send it back with suggestions or modifications and you'll have your job to post.
Job boards are in the IC section of the forum, so even making jobs is rewarding!
